Receive the Planning Inspector’s Binding Report and Adopt the LDP
What does this mean?
The Council will expect to receive the Planning Inspector’s decision, in a document called a Binding Report, 6 months after Step 3 in February 2013. The inspector’s decision is final and the Council are expected to make all the changes to the Plan prior to formally adopting it in March 2013. The Plan will then be monitored annually to ensure it is contributing positively to meeting needs of Conwy.

Once members of the Council have agreed the proposed changes to the Plan, it will then be submitted to the Welsh Government for independent examination. This is when a Planning Inspector will assess all the objections received to the Plan and any changes proposed by the Council to determine whether the Plan has been prepared properly. The Inspector may recommend site or policy changes based on the evidence received in support of objections.
